Mrs. Hugo's Student Reunion Celebration

If you were ever a student in Mrs. Hugo's class, please join us for an open house celebrating her retirement from public school teaching! Refreshments will be served to all who come. This open house will be held on Sunday, May 20th, from 1:00- 4:00 p.m. at the Regent Center. The Regent Center is located at 1200 Regent Drive in Mundelein. It has both indoor and outdoor seating plus a small playground and walking path around the adjacent pond. It’s a sweet spot for a BIG reunion!

STEAMers WAKE-UP!

Catching a few extra Z’s on the weekend has not been an option for many children in Mundelein School District #75 who have been participating in the enrichment program named SATURDAY STEAMers. Motivating the kids to eagerly get out of bed and brave the winter weather has been their excitement to participate in classes, like: K’NEX Construction, Journey to the Center of a Seed, Break Out! Escape Room, Musical Food, and more! Fifth grade Mechanics Grove student Lauren Gibbons who has been attending the program says that she “enjoys getting up early to take the classes with her friends,” and that, “learning about materials, their uses, making things, and seeing the final end results is very exciting for her!”

Congratulations to the cast and crew for Beauty and the Beast Junior!

What a huge success! Thank you to all of our students for your hard work the past 4 months! Thank you also to our parents, volunteers, teachers, school organizations, admin and community members for supporting such a wonderful endeavor. Whether you donated money to purchasing professional microphones, donated a basket or fog machine or donated time to help put on makeup and curl hair, your efforts are not unnoticed. Such a huge part of this success is the magic that happens behind the scenes. My sincerest thanks for your involvement. Thank you for being a part of District 75 history! Congratulations again!

WORLD READ ALOUD DAY CELEBRATED ON FEBRUARY 1

Students in District 75 schools celebrated World Read Aloud Day on February 1 by engaging with authors/illustrators via a live video chat. Thirty-three authors and illustrators spanning all genres and reading levels participated in free 20-minute sessions. Every student in grades Kindergarten - eighth grade had the opportunity to interact with an author during this special event.
